The Pre-Children’s Choir of the Polyphonic Choir participated with outstanding success in the Palaio Faliro Municipal Choral Festival, the 5th edition (Artistic Director: Katerina Vasilikou), which took place last Saturday at the concert hall of the Palaio Faliro Town Hall, featuring seven children’s, women’s, and mixed choirs.

The Pre-Children’s Choir performed the following works: “T’ Asterakia” (lyrics: Pavlina Pampoudi, music: Tasos Ioannidis), “Tou Mikrou Voria” (poetry: Odysseas Elytis, music: Mikis Theodorakis), “My Childhood Dreams” (lyrics and music: Vladimir Cosma & Jeff Jordan, from the film La Boom – My First Party, Greek lyrics: Spyros Lamprou), “Hello, Venice” (lyrics: Nikos Gatsos, music: Stavros Xarhakos), and concluded with “The Song with Colors” (lyrics: Pavlina Pampoudi, music: Tasos Ioannidis).

The choir was conducted by Marialena Bokari, with piano accompaniment by Marina Mylona, piano teacher at the Polyphonic Conservatory. The Polyphonic Choir’s delegation was accompanied by the Vice President of the Board, Panagiotis Arkadianos, the Artistic Director of the Organization, Stavros Solomos, the Head of the department, Elpida Spiliotopoulou, as well as parents of the choir members.

Additionally, on Sunday evening, a concert was held at the concert hall of the Tolis Nomikos Organization, featuring the Polyphonic Conservatory’s Contemporary Singing class (teacher: Chrysa Pantazopoulou), under the general title “Moments in Notes”.

The concert included works from both Greek and international repertoire, and was accompanied by the Conservatory’s teachers: Lousi Christodoulou (piano), Christos Tsailakis (guitar), and Giorgos Lambrakos (percussion).
