The closing ceremony of this year’s Oinoxenia events was held with outstanding success last Wednesday at the ancient Theatre of Aigeira. The evening featured performances by the Mixed Choir (conducted by Mo Stavros Solomos, piano: Lousi Christodoulou) and the Orchestral Ensemble "Muzicanto" (conducted by Giorgos Papageorgiou), both under the umbrella of the Patras Polyphonic Choir Organization.

In the first part of the concert, the Mixed Choir presented a selection of Greek and international choral repertoire. The second part showcased the Orchestral Ensemble, performing works by iconic Greek composers such as Manos Hatzidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarchakos, Dimos Moutsis, and Manos Loizos. Soloists from both ensembles—Chrysa Pantazopoulou, Sergios Soiles, Marilena Nisidi, Nadia Zerva, and Athanasia Papastavrou—delivered captivating performances.

The Women’s Vocal Ensemble "Emmeleia" (conducted by Albena Penkova, piano: Lousi Christodoulou) also made a notable appearance at the 1st International Choir Festival of Paros, organized by the island’s cultural association Archilochos. Eight choirs participated in the festival, with artistic direction by Konstantina Andreakou. Alongside the main concert at the Paros Vocational High School Theatre, the program included hymn performances at the stunning Panagia Ekatontapyliani Church and a music workshop led by maestro Matthaios Legakis.

The celebrations continued last Saturday at the Ichthyoskala Cultural Center in Patras, where "Merimna" marked its 60th anniversary with a grand event. The "Muzicanto" Orchestral Ensemble (conducted by Giorgos Papageorgiou) closed the festivities with solo performances by Chrysa Pantazopoulou, Despina Kriba, and Sergios Soiles.

Finally, last Sunday, the 16th student concert (Monody class, directed by Ira Zerva) concluded this year’s series of performances by students of the Polyphonic Choir’s Music School (Artistic Director: Giorgos Bourdopoulos, Administrative Director: Effi Kavvadia). The event was a resounding success, drawing over 100 attendees and highlighting the school’s 10-year legacy of musical excellence.
