A special event is being organized by POLYFONIKI for its New Year’s Cake Cutting, which will take place at the organization’s premises on Sunday, January 18, at 7:30 PM, in the presence of members and friends of POLYFONIKI.
During the blessing of the cake, the BYZANTINE CHOIR (Conductor: Giannis Kottoros) will chant, while the musical part of the event will be performed by the organization’s PRE-CHILDREN’S CHOIR (Conductor: Marialena Bokari, Piano: Marina Mylona).
During this festive event, the customary Administrative Report will be presented by the Chairman of the Board, Giannis Kottoros, and the organization’s artistic achievements will be showcased on screen by the Artistic Director, Mo Stavros Solomos.
In addition, Andreas Benos, guitar professor at the POLYFONIKI Conservatory, and Makis Pomonis, member of the MIXED CHOIR and founding member of the organization, will be honored for their long-standing service and contributions to the organization.
Finally, on Saturday evening, during the Opening Ceremony of the Patras Carnival at Georgiou Square, the YOUTH CHOIR, the male section of the MIXED CHOIR, and pre-recorded performances by the PRE-CHILDREN’S CHOIR of POLYFONIKI will participate in the event prepared by KEDIP – Patras Carnival.
