For the first time, the Pre-Junior Choir of “Polyphoniki” will participate in the 5th Choral Festival of the Municipality of Palaio Faliro (Artistic Director: Katerina Vasilikou), which will take place on Saturday, March 14, at the concert hall of the Palaio Faliro Town Hall, at 6:00 p.m. The event will have free admission for the public and will include the participation of children’s, women’s and mixed choirs.
The Pre-Junior Choir will present the works: “Ta Asterakia” (lyrics: Pavlina Pampoudi, music: Tasos Ioannidis), “Tou Mikrou Voria” (poetry: Odysseas Elytis, music: Mikis Theodorakis), “Oneira Mou Paidika” with lyrics and music by Vladimir Cosma and Jeff Jordan, from the film “La Boum – My First Party” (Greek lyrics: Spyros Lamprou), “Geia Sou Chara Sou Venetia” (lyrics: Nikos Gatsos, music: Stavros Xarhakos), and will conclude with “To Tragoudi me ta Chromata” (lyrics: Pavlina Pampoudi, music: Tasos Ioannidis).
The choir will be conducted by Marialena Bokari, while the piano accompaniment will be performed by Marina Mylona, piano professor of the Polyphoniki Conservatory. The Polyphoniki delegation will be accompanied by the Vice President of the Board of Directors, Panagiotis Arkadianos, the Artistic Director of the Organization, Maestro Stavros Solomos, the Head of the Department, Elpida Spiliotopoulou, as well as parents of the choir members.
Also, on Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m., a concert of the Polyphoniki Conservatory, featuring the Contemporary Singing Class (teacher: Chrysa Pantazopoulou), will take place at the organization’s concert hall “Tolis Nomikos”, under the general title “Moments in Notes.”
At the concert, which will include works from the Greek and international repertoire, the teachers of the Polyphoniki Conservatory will also participate: Lousi Christodoulou (piano), Christos Tsailakis (guitar) and Giorgos Lamprakos (percussion).
Admission for the public will be free.
